Au Brana is a residential centre for performance research and practice in rural southern France, founded in 2005 by Kate Hannah Papi and Oliviero Papi.
The centre is dedicated to the development and support of emerging artists and the exchange of practice across all performance disciplines.
Each year the centre functions as a rehearsal and development venue for new work, hosting residencies, workshop sessions and the activities of OBRA Theatre Co, permanent company in residence. For all information and inquiries about OBRA theatre co see; http://www.obratheatre.co
Through regular public performances of work in progress, workshop demonstrations and music events, the centre acts as a link between international and local culture.
Although Au Brana was built principally to support creative pursuits, the centre is perfectly adapted to and welcomes all related practices, such as martial arts, yoga and vipassana.
