Traditional Bal Gascon with live musicians. This gathering of multiple dance groups from the surrounding area, will be a fantastic evening of dancing and celebrating chestnuts and the new wine! A proper Gascon party.

Youth Devising Workshop

6th – 11th August
Led in English and French by Kate Hannah Papi of OBRA Theatre, this is a fantastic crash course in devised theatre making for 14 – 20 yr olds. In 5 days you will receive essential elements of actor training, develop material based on a story, devise a piece of theatre and perform before a public in a professional theatre. An exciting week of creative work in the French countryside.

As part of our commitment to the support of new work and emerging practice, each year we offer our studio spaces and dormitory accommodation for free, for a creative residency. We welcome applications from individuals and groups, from any performance discipline that seek to undertake new work and develop their practice.

John Britton Residency

5th – 12th September John Britton; Collective Creation for Solo Performers

The week is designed for artists engaged in making their own work, either as individuals or in small groups. It will combine shared ensemble training with mentored and structured support for the development and sharing of new work. We will train together in the mornings, developing individual skills and relationship with others. Each afternoon you will have time to work on developing your own work. John will be available to guide, mentor, comment. We will create a temporary supportive community for one another as we engage in the sometimes isolated business of developing our own performance works. Details here:
