OBRA is an international theatre ensemble based at the Au Brana centre. The company make theatre rooted in the relationship between language and the physical life of the performer, adapting texts not originally destined for the stage to create innovative theatre for contemporary audiences.
The company develop their practice through exchanges with other practitioners and artists, and in the form of open research sessions at Au Brana, investigating particular source material and approaches to making theatre. The company members lead workshops for professionals, students and youth at their base in France and throughout Europe.
